The Fireflys are a British guitar band who formed in Runcorn, England in 2007 whose lead songwriter Lee Wylding went on to form The Far North in 2019. The band have released 4 albums to date. The groups musical style primarily consists of rock with an emphasis on Americana as well as elements of other genres such as Grunge and Folk. Currently the band consists of founding member, lead vocalist/guitarist and primary songwriter Lee Wylding.

As well as having their own signature craft beer courtesy of the Blueball Brewery entitled “Northern Lights”, The band have been featured in many magazines such as Fireworks, NME, Music Insider, Louder Than War and enjoyed airplay on BBC Introducing, BBC 6 Music, BBC Manchester, BBC Liverpool, Real XS & Amazing Radio as well as hundreds of college and independent stations around the world. TV appearances include That’s Manchester TV, MUTV, Bay TV and Made in Liverpool. The bands music is often played at Old Trafford on match days.

The Fireflys were Red Lantern’s first artist, and are currently on extended hiatus.
